Mindfulness Supervision

Supervision:

Mindfulness supervision is for the supervisor and supervisee to reflect deeply into their own personal practice of mindfulness meditation, reflecting on how it impacts and integrates both personally and professionally.  Mindfulness supervision fosters the supervisee’s growth, understanding and effectiveness in the interest of ‘quality’ and ‘safe practice’ for client and participant.

As there is currently no professional body overseeing the ‘quality’ and ‘safe practice’ of mindfulness teachers, the UK Network of Mindfulness Based Teacher Trainer's was formed (www.mindfulnessteachers.org.uk).  The UK Network has complied ‘Good Practice Guidelines for Teaching Mindfulness Based Courses’ and 'Standards' for Teacher Trainers. The UK Network recommends that people engaged in teaching others mindfulness should attend monthly mindfulness supervision sessions with an experienced mindfulness practitioner.

Individual and group supervision is available, contact Geraldine for details.
