Distance Learning:

For people who live too far away to attend an 8 week mindfulness programme, Mindflow has developed their own distance learning programme, enabling you to access mindfulness training from the comfort of your own home. 

Each week you will have one hour contact, either on the phone or skype with a mindfulness teacher who will guide you through the 8-week programme.  All practice CDs, learning materials and an outline of each weeks home practice will be sent either in the post or via the internet.  Home practice forms the largest part of this course and you will be expected to undertake some mindfulness practice each day, carrying out formal and informal mindfulness practice. Mindflows 8 week programme consists of training the mind in mindfulness and compassion meditation practices.  The amount of time you will be required to practice will vary from between 15/45 minutes.  To bolster your learning you will be encouraged to make notes of your direct experience during each practice, bringing these notes to the session with your mindfulness teacher. 

Summary of the course:

This programme teaches positive ways to take care of ourselves in ways that enables us to live happier and healthier lives, impacting positively on self and others.  It promotes a way of being that enable us to cope more effectively with difficulties in life - physical, emotional, mental and social.  It fosters our ability to respond rather than react when faced with daily challenges. Overall, this course is often helpful in dealing with ongoing difficulty - the problem may not change but we can learn to relate to it differently.  At times this work can feel challenging therefore it is important that you have a support network available if problems or difficulties arise although, Geraldine will be there to support you throughout this process.

  • The total cost of this programme is £650 for those who are sponsored by their employers. For those who are paying as individuals the cost is £550.

  • This includes:
  • Initial phone session with your teacher to orientate you to the programme.
  • 9 x 1 hour weekly phone call or skype session.
  • Teacher support through the programme.
  • An on going invitation to attend a full days practice session, when taking place.
  • Workbook.
  • Practice CDs
